Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin

C.A. Murren provided comprehensive site development and utility infrastructure services for the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin project, supporting the construction of a new healthcare facility in North Georgia.

 The Work

Work began with selective demolition, clearing and grubbing, erosion control installation, and slope stabilization measures to prepare the site for construction. Our earthwork operations included top-soil stripping, mass grading, cut-and-fill activities, and the management of excess material to establish building pads, site elevations, and drainage patterns necessary for long-term performance.

The project also required installing extensive underground utility infrastructure. Sanitary sewer work included nearly 2,000 linear feet of PVC sewer main, sanitary manholes, grease traps, and service laterals to support facility operations. Stormwater infrastructure included more than 2,500 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe, ranging from 18 to 36 inches in diameter, along with additional HDPE drainage systems designed to manage site runoff effectively.

Water utility installation included more than 5,000 linear feet of ductile iron water main, copper irrigation lines, and all associated valves, vaults, bends, restraints, and appurtenances. These systems were carefully coordinated to provide reliable utility service throughout the development.
